Baby giraffe gets a taste of outdoors at Virginia Zoo NORFOLK The Virginia Zoo’s new baby Masai giraffe went into its outdoor habitat for the first time today. The giraffe was born June 6 at the zoo to Imara and Billy, a zoo news release says. The young giraffe will be allowed into the outdoor area for longer periods of time over the next few weeks.
